The Minister of Arts and Culture presided over the audience granted to Professor Emeritus David SIMO, founder of the Center for Scientific Cooperation between Africa and Germany, accompanied by a delegation, on Wednesday September 18, 2024, starting at 2pm in the MINAC lounge. The purpose of the meeting was to report on the research carried out by Prof. SIMO and his team into the provenance of Cameroonian human remains preserved in the Berlin Prehistoric Museum, and the prospects for their restitution. This project, whose objectives are in line with the framework set by MINAC for the restitution of cultural property and human remains illegally removed by the Germans during colonization, is being carried out in collaboration with a team of German researchers from the "Preußischer Kulturbesitz" in Berlin.
